Himalayan Haat, founded in 2014 by Indira and Divya Chowfin in Pauri, Uttarakhand, is a social enterprise born out of a desire to support local farmers and empower village women. Starting from their family farm, Marrora, they utilize fresh, natural produce to craft artisanal preserves, sauces, pickles, and more. The enterprise not only aims to produce healthy, additive-free products but also to provide financial independence to women in an area plagued by alcoholism and economic hardship. Through sustainable practices and community education, Himalayan Haat strives to foster socio-economic change while preserving the region's natural resources.
